APOSTLE PETER OKOE MANKRALO

NE2Apostle Peter Okoe Mankralo is currently the President of The Apostolic Church – Ghana. Until his elevation, he was the Vice President, the National Witness Movement Superintendent and the Tema Area Superintendent of The Apostolic Church -Ghana.

He was born on Thursday, 1st November, 1954 to Mr. Joseph Asare Kabitey of Krobo Odumase, in the Eastern Region and Madam Esther Agoe all of blessed memory from Prampram of Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

EDUCATION

He attended the Ghanata Secondary School at Dodowa from 1970 to 1975 for the West African School Certificate / G.C.E.O’ Level. From there he entered the Ghana Highways Authority Training School for a 3-year Programme in Highway Materials Technology and Testing from 1976 to 1979.

In 1982, he obtained a Diploma in Highway Engineering from the International Correspondence Schools (ICS). London. In September, 1987, he was awarded a Certificate by the Ghana Labour College, Accra, having completed successfully a 5-day Advanced Level Seminar organized by the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of TUC (Ghana).

Later, whilst in the Pastoral ministry, he was privileged to study at the Apostolic Church Training School (ACTS) in Penygroes, South Wales (UK) during the 1993 – 1994 Academic Year for a Diploma in Theology.

CALLS AND MINISTRY.

As pleased the Lord, Apostle Peter Okoe Mankralo was called and ordained into the various offices of the Church. He was ordained as Elder on 12th February, 1984 at Somanya; as Overseer on 1st August; 1987 at Dodowa, as Pastor on 28th September; 1991 at Akim Oda, as Teacher on 9th September; 1995 in Kumasi and as Apostle on 24th November, 1996 in Accra.

By dint of hard work and ministerial diligence, he was transferred from one place to another to strengthen the church at various levels. The National Council posted him to Dodowa as District Overseer (August, 1987 to August 1990);  Headquarters, Accra as Course  Co-ordinator (September, 1990 to November, 1991); Somanya as District Pastor    (December, 1991 to August, 1993) and Cape Coast, as Area Apostle (March, 1997 to January, 2000).

Other places were Kumasi as Bible College Principal (January, 2000 to September, 2008); Somanya as Area Apostle (April, 2006 to September, 2008); Sunyani as Area Apostle (October, 2008 to September, 2011 and currently transferred to head the Tema Area as the Superintendent on October, 2011.

Apostle Mankralo has also held several high positions in the church. He was appointed a National Council Member on November, 1996; Bible College Principal in 2000; Ministry Committee Secretary, September 2004 and presently as the National Witness Movement Superintendent and Member of the National Executive of the church since April 2006.

He was also appointed a member of the Education Committee of the Ghana Pentecostal Council (GPC) now Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council (GPCC), to draft a curriculum for a 3-year first Degree Theology Programme for the Ghana Pentecostal Theological Seminary to be established.

PREVIOUS WORKING EXPERIENCE

  1. Ghana Highway Authority as a Senior Technical Officer (Materials) from 1979-1986.
  2. On attachment at the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs from 1987 – 1990.
  3. On part-time tutorial duties at Ningo and Benkum Secondary Schools (Ghana Education Service) in the late 1980’s.

MARRIAGE

Apostle Mankralo is married to Mrs. Rose Mankralo (a.k.a. Mama Dee), daughter of the Late Pastor E. K. Okanta, an outstanding pioneer/worker of the Apostolic Church vision during the 1930’s and 40’s in the Eastern Region of Ghana. They are blessed with five children, namely; Christopher, Jones, Eva, Abigail and Gideon.
